A Campground In Great Locations

The following information in this article is the result of many hours of professional research and I hope it will help you.

Have you ever stopped and thought about how much things have changed since you were a kid? Depending on your generation, your mom may not have worked outside the home, while today a two income family is pretty much the norm. Grabbing time to spend with the family is very important, so why not consider a camping trip? While you may prefer room service and a warm beach, your kids will think it is great. They don't care if you choose a campground in some third world country, or if you had to borrow used camping gear, just as long as you can be there together as a family and have some fun.

Actually there are some really great places to camp. Whether you are traveling by camper or in a new or used RV, there are a few spots worth mentioning and checking out. If you are traveling with kids, then be sure to check into staying at a family campground if possible, as there will be more activities for the kids to enjoy.

If you and your family enjoy history, then consider finding a campground in the Harpers Ferry area in Virginia. Setting up camp in this area is made even more special because a part of it has been preserved as a living-history park. Think John Brown, Robert E Lee and the Civil War, along with beautiful terrain. This a great place for the family.

Again, being together is the main goal, but if something can be learned by it also, then by all means pack up the kids, gather up your camping equipment and head out for a great family vacation with memories that will last a lifetime. If you still have no idea where you want to go, then consider doing a campground search online. If you can find a forum, then you may get advice from people who have actually been to a certain location and may have some tips for you. And with an estimated 8,000 public, and 8,000 privately owned campgrounds available, you are sure to find one that fits your needs.

A campground in the Eldorado National Forest Area is another great choice. You have never seen a more picturesque area, as this one in California. It has 4 rivers, 170 lakes and 400 miles of trails for hikers, equestrians and mountain bikers. There are so many great areas here that you will have to return for many years to come to make sure you get to see each and every wonderful location. Most important is to be a happy camper, keep your family close and spend some quality time together.

That's it for this article why not check out another.

Today's Tip On Camping

What about showers?

You are in luck. You do not have to remain dirty and sweaty if you utilize some campgrounds. Many of the newer family oriented campgrounds do have shower facilities you can use while you are camping. The cost is factored into your camp ground fees. You will need to provide your own towels, soap and shampoo if you intend on showering. Just because you are camping does not mean you have to completely rough it and be stinky.
